86 friends, 8 nations and 650 eggs…

86 friends from 8 nations came to the Flurrys annual Easter Lunch Celebration.  It was a mixture of friends from our school (PACA) and our local church (Calvary International). God blessed us with a wonderfully beautiful warm day, even though it was expected to rain all afternoon.  The food was spectacular with plates that featured homemade lasagna, pulled barbecue pork, filet mignon, salmon, broccoli and cheese, jalapeño poppers and many more.  Plus, amazing deserts that made all of us fully satisfied and happy.

After lunch, Vanessa took the kids upstairs to read the true Easter Story of Christ’s death and resurrection.  While she read, the male adults hid the 650 confetti filled eggs we had made.  The highlight for the kids was the egg hunt and then cracking them on each other’s heads.

The laughter and delight of kids, parents, and friends reminded me that we have hope of life eternal with Jesus.  And we will share life eternal with brothers and sisters from around the world who have come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  What a glorious day that will be!
